Hey there, 
I also seem to be having this problem. I installed an extra stick of RAM as an upgrade and the board then went into a continous boot cycle as you have mentioned above. I love the Asrock brand and i would hate to have to leave it because of this issue. 

What can i do to get out of it?

It appears my problem has been solved.
ASRock sent me a replacement motherboard.
I did a quick test hookup using the same CPU and memory and was able to boot up to the setup screen CMOS.
Hard drives not installed yet.

So for now, I'm happy.

The Clear CMOS header is in the lower right hand corner of the board just below the lower Ultra M.2 slot. The letters CLRCMOS1 are next to it on the far right edge of the board.

The Clear CMOS jumper is a plastic piece with metal connections internally. It only connects to, or covers two of the three pins on the Clear CMOS header.

I am not sure what you are referring to about a plastic piece that covers three pins. The only thing that matches that description is a three pin fan connector, connected to a three pin fan header. A fan header is not the same thing as the Clear CMOS jumper. This section seems to be missing from your board's manual, so here it is:



Removing the board's battery is actually more difficult than moving the jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pins 2 and 3. I suggest learning how to use the Clear CMOS jumper, since it is a basic operation every PC builder should know how to do. You ONLY move that jumper back and forth with the PC shutdown, and the PSU shut off and disconnected from AC power.

Virtually any DDR4 memory should work in your board/CPU pair (the memory controller is part of the CPU). If you have two DIMMs/sticks of memory, they should be installed in the A2 and B2 slots. One DIMM should be installed in the A2 slot.

What model of memory are you using?

Regarding your case, we provide some suggestions to try:

1.     Clear CMOS to load BIOS default.

Please unplug the power cord and remove the power cable from motherboard.

Move the clear CMOS jumper to 2-3 for 5 minutes.

Please check user manual p8 to find the clear CMOS jumper.

2.     Only install CPU and one stick memory to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

3.     Please try to install one stick memory at A1, B1, A2 and B2 slot to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

4.     Reinstall CPU and check if CPU socket pin is fine.

5.     Because the memory controller is inside the CPU, if it is possible, please change another CPU or DRAM to check if the system can boot into BIOS properly.

Also, we provide the memory support list for your reference, all the memory modules on the memory support list have been tested in our lab and can works properly on B250M Pro4.

I am stuck in a build with ab ASRock Pro4.

Unit goes into a continous reboot cycle when I rey to boot it up.

I've been in touch with support but no good news from them yet.

During testing of the motherboard out of the case, the reboot problem stops with no RAM installed and I get three beeps in the speaker. when one stick of memory is installed it goes back into the continous reboot cycle and no beeps from speaker. 

Any suggestions ?

And what memory modules works with this motherboard ?


CPU is an Intel Core i5 7600.
