Dear luzorzi5896,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

After testing in our lab, GEFORCE GTX 1080 VGA card is able to be installed on PCIE1 slot.

However, we'd like to provide a solution.

Please install the VGA card on PCIE4 slot which is x16 mode as well.

Please refer to user manual page 7 of the PCIE4 location.

My graphics card Geforce GTX 1080 does not fit into the PCIe slot 1 of X399 gaming.

The backplate is apparently too wide.

Now I have in PCIe Slot 2 but only the 8x speed.

Does the installation work on a different slot with full 16x speed?
