    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=74">parsec</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 659<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17 Aug 2015 at 12:55pm<br /><br />The suggestions by <i><b>camomatt</b></i> are good, always set the <font style=": rgb0, 0, 0;">Primary Graphics Adapter to the device you want to use. <br><br>I can tell you that you won't fine a "Legacy Mode" option in your BIOS.<br><br>If your BIOS has the <b>IGPU Multi-Monitor </b>option, be sure to set it to Disabled.<br><br>Another basic thing you should (must) do whenever you add a new piece of hardware is clear the CMOS/BIOS before you start the PC for the first time after installing the new card. <br><br>Be sure to reset any required BIOS option settings you use after clearing the CMOS/BIOS, as you'll have all default values after clearing the CMOS.<br><br>You still might not be able to get the new card recognized. I suggest trying several restarts and press the Reset button in order to get the new card recognized, even after clearing the CMOS/BIOS.<br><br>If all this does not work, let us know.<br></font>]]>

In there, you will see an option for what Primary Graphics Adapter you're using. Make sure it's set to PCI Express.</font></div><div><font style=": rgb0, 0, 0;"><br></font></div><div><font style=": rgb0, 0, 0;">If that doesn't work, there might be an option for "Legacy Mode" somewhere tucked away in there. This might be able to help you, but I can't say for sure.</font></div><div><font style=": rgb0, 0, 0;"><br></font></div><div><font style=": rgb0, 0, 0;">If you had graphics card in there before the 970, did you uninstall its drivers first? Not sure if this would make much of a difference.</font></div>]]>
