Hello everyone !

I am new to this forum, and i am not sure if i am posting in the correct category. forgive me if i am mistaken.

My friend built his own PC using Asrock Z170 and i have been trying to enable WOL function for him.

I am using the Board built in ethernet port (Realtech Gbe)

in order to try and enable the function, i have read some tutorials that advised to enable PCIe devices power on from BIOS. in addition to enabling magic packet on NIC settings in device manager. i have tried doing the above but failed to boot the machine using WOL.

i have noticed as well that when i turn the machine off, NIC does not blink, which i suppose should be blinking to receive the magic packet.

i am using aquila tech Wake on lan tool, that works fine with with linux machines.

Any help or advice is much apreceated.
