Author: TanC
Subject: 6656
Posted: 21 Nov 2017 at 11:42am

In advanced/Chipset there is only option to disable I211-AT NIC, no option to disable I291V. Every other ASRock board I have has options to disable both.

Windows 7 and 10 are reporting that of the 32.00 GB of RAM I have only 31.7 is usable. The X299 doesn't support graphics options, so is there another option in the BIOS that might be restricting some of my RAM?

I have an I9-7900X delidded installed. It is currently set to 4.0ghz, though it's rated to be stable at 4.5ghz. When setting it to 4.0ghz though, the BIOS warns high voltages will damage the CPU. Haven't seem that on my other ASRock boards. I'm talking about the CPU Input voltage, which gets set to Fixed mode when I changed the All core value, and it was set to 2.10v, and it's displayed in red.

There are a lot of settings for overclocking. Which voltage settings should I be changing to reduce the risks. I'm told that just setting the CPU multiplier, by default, ASRock BIOS will set the voltage to high to improve stability.

Edited by TanC - 21 Nov 2017 at 11:49am
