Have you tried reseating CPU? Also when installing CPU cooler, don't overtighten it. Try booting with only CPU, one stick of RAM and GPU installed. To be sure reconnect all motherboard cables also.<br /><br />If it still won't boot I think RMA the motherboard.<br />I replaced both my motherboard and PSU. Replaced Taichi x299 for Taichi x299 XE. PSU was probably the problem. I was confident that it can't be PSU (Seasonic Prime 860W) as it was new and previously working fine. Replaced motherboard and still couldn't boot. And i have gone mad cause there is no such error in the debug, and later days it gives me only A2<br /><br />I have tried several screen tho and all never had a signal. :(]]>

I think Dr Debug is not showing errors specifically, but rather status of boot secuence. If Dr Debug shows A2, it means boot secuence got stuck there.<br /><br />A0 - IDE initialization is started<br />A1 - IDE Reset<br />A2 - IDE Detect<br />A3 - IDE Enable<br /><br />I would unplug all attached drives (including usb headers on motherboard), clear CMOS (follow instructions provided in this forum) and try booting. Also check that cables and memory sticks are firmly connected. ]]>

Right now SSD firmware update seems the most likely culprit. I don't update firmware too often. I updated it today and after the update system is not posting.     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7514">mostly</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6665<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 Nov 2017 at 12:56am<br /><br />Got a new board.<div>Without CPU installed it wouldn't power up the Debug display (not surprising).&nbsp; CPU installed and everything went fine.&nbsp; System back in case, all good.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Couple reboots later and it's showing the same problem as the first board...&nbsp; It's managed to restart a few times via power off, CMOS reset and power back on.&nbsp; At the moment it's refusing to reboot, and i'm letting the power drain :-(</div><div><br></div><div>So, likely explanation is something in my setup is incompatible.&nbsp; A second faulty board seems unlikely (even if from the same batch).&nbsp; I just don't see what could be doing this, everything is fine if the board would try to POST.</div><div><br></div><div>Only additional info, on a couple of occasions after CMOS reset, i'd go into the bios, save and exit, wait for the splash screen to show again then hit the power button to turn everything off. Then the board would stay awake, red led next to the Debug display stays on, until a long power button press.</div><div><br></div><div>Not sure that helps any :-(</div><div><br></div><div>EDIT:&nbsp; PC is currently running.&nbsp; Only way i can get it to boot is by holding the CMOS reset switch with the power on, while it's 'stuck'.&nbsp; Works maybe 1 in 10 times.&nbsp; This is a full system inside the case.</div><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by mostly - 23 Nov 2017 at 1:24am</span>]]>
