    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5435">datonyb</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6812<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 Dec 2017 at 1:50am<br /><br /><a href="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"></a>ok to add to above <br><br>only ever install or try to install windows with stock bios defaults<br><br>no overclocking ram (this includes setting xmp) this is esp. important with ryzen as we find we usually have to manually tweak the ram after to get it stable<br><br>another point to note is <br>installing windows via a usb , make sure it is the very latest release, we have had similar issues with early windows 10 versions (you ARE trying to install win10 yes ? )<br><br>if so just use the windows own media creation tool <br>google it and it takes you windows own website which will create the bootable usb stick<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5501">MisterJ</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6812<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04 Dec 2017 at 12:58am<br /><br />sease, you definitely want to install the OS with reset BIOS settings.&nbsp; So, please open the BIOS, hit F9 and then F10.&nbsp; I recommend you stick with W10.&nbsp; I hope you created your USB stick using the Media Creation Tool.&nbsp; Make sure to safely remove the USB stick after writing.&nbsp; Boot using F11 to select the boot device.&nbsp; Select the UEFI - USB stick and be sure to finalize your install media as GPT.&nbsp; Two things to try: a different install media and one memory stick at a time.&nbsp; Also try a full format of your install media.&nbsp; Good luck and enjoy, John.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7673">seasa</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6812<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03 Dec 2017 at 2:35pm<br /><br />Hi there -<br><br>I have a new build with the following hardware:<br>AB350M Pro4, flashed to the latest version (3.30) <br>Ryzen 1500X<br>T-Force Vulcan 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3000 Model TLGD416G3000HC16CDC01 (slots A2,B2)<br>EVGA 1060 SC 3GB <br>WD Blue 250GB SSB<br>EVGA 650W Gold PS<br><br>Memtest86 passes all memory tests.<br><br>However, I am unable to get OS setup to work via USB - I have tried both the latest Windows 10, as well as a Linux distro (Mint 18.3).&nbsp; After starting the boot from the USB, Windows hangs right away (it brings up a screen with the Windows logo and some progress circle dots, but then it hangs there), and similar behavior with the Linux setup - it gets thru some of the initial setup, but then hangs or resets. <br><br>The USB boot device is plugged into a USB2 slot on the motherboard.<br><br>I have tried a number of different boot compatibility settings, no luck getting things to work.<br><br>Any advice or further troubleshooting help would be appreciated!<br><br>Thanks!<br><br>Seasa<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by seasa - 07 Dec 2017 at 8:31am</span>]]>
