MEI drivers for windows have different version numbers, so no they don't have to be the same. You can view your your MEI driver version in windows device manager/system devices/Intel(R) Management Engine Interface #1/properties/driver. (by the way, it shows your firmware version too in the firmware tab)<br /><br />As I said before, i don't think you need to worry about them unless you are dead set on running the latest one. My bios version is 16.1.30.2264. That is an acceptable way of checking correct? And I know there is a bios version and a version that's installed in your Windows OS. Not sure if the two should match. ]]>

Just updated my board to bios version 16.01 with the latest intel microcode 0x12B, and no, it does not include an update to ME. Kind of odd seeming all the other main manufacturers do include an ME update. ]]>

Never been 100% comfortable updating the bios due to concerns of power failure while it's udpating.]]>
