(Asrock Europe)<div><br></div><div>The retailer orders them from them. Video! (UEFI/BIOS)</div><div><br></div><div>If i use the setting in the UEFI to use only the internal videocard, there is no video.</div><div><br></div><div>Connected a 2nd screen to the mainboard, and nothing on it.</div><div>Installed Windows 7 on the machine and the system sees 2 seperate videocards.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px;"><img src="http://i64.tinypic.com/20zzno1.png" border="0" /></span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Only the screen attached to the on-board video card does not give any video signal and monitor is recognized.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px;"><img src="http://i66.tinypic.com/w8vx2r.png" border="0" /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px;">I think that the mainboard is indeed faulty&nbsp;<img src="https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0" alt="Angry" title="Angry" />.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px;">Grrrr.</span></div><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Tijntje - 16 Dec 2017 at 12:25am</span>]]>

See if problem is still there.<br><br>If Ubuntu boots OK, it should pick an IP via DHCP by default, depending on your home network settings. You could check in your router if there is ARP entries for this machine, and if it has any IP or connectivity.<br><br>Oh, I forgot... Debians have SSH disabled by default for some time now. IDK about other distros.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=7833">Tijntje</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6943<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 Dec 2017 at 8:54am<br /><br /><a href="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"></a>There is no harddisk activity, so there is no operating system running.<div><br></div><div>- Power on (fans running) (main switch on the powersupply)</div><div>- HDD-led flickering (as in recognised by the UEFI/BIOS)</div><div>- LAN-led's lighing up</div><div>- doing nothing?</div><div><br></div><div>The mainboard does not getting any IP address, so to answer your question: There is no SSH connection.</div><div><br></div><div>Forgot to mention in the first post:</div><div>The UEFI/BIOS is cleared (jumper) and also left alone wihout power and without batery overnight. (private use, replacing some WD-single-disk NAS systems)</div><div><br></div><div>Using a AMD A6-6400K CPU and 16 GB RAM. (and 4 WD-RED's, using ZFS, not build-in RAID)</div><div><br></div><div>This machine has run for several weeks without any problem. (a secondary system, same specs still running)</div><div><br></div><div>After a update from FreeNas, the system needed to reboot and never came up again.</div><div><br></div><div>No video (VGA and VGA via a HDMI-dongle) and no sound (PC-speaker).&nbsp;</div><div>The fans are running, the numlock/capslock LED's on the keyboard are working, the LAN-led's are active and thats it.</div><div><br></div><div>To eliminate the CPU's internal GPU failure, i replaced the CPU with an (older) A4-5300, but no result.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 12px;">Restarting the mainbord without ram, i get 3 beeps.
