Any chance that this motherboard will receive thunderbolt firmware update? I know that it was just a little over a year so unfortunetly there are still some users of 12-14th gen of Intel CPUs.. An I understand that this topic is so complicated that probably the new Apollo program will started sooner than the TB4 firmware update arrive for that mobo.
Hope that Asrock will not support any crucial infractructure. We will be screwd than. Yes, this is the BIOS/Firmware limitation. This does sound like a BIOS-level limitation rather than a hardware fault, especially since the enclosure works elsewhere. Hopefully ASRock pushes a newer Thunderbolt NVM soon, as this affects real-world usability.

I have a real doubts about that.. You see the drivers for that motherboard on Asrock site are so old that it is better to get drivers from other source for safety reasons. INTEL ME have no security patches. BIOS was updated in OCT and it still dosen't have update fort TB4 firmware.

The newest 'drivers' for that board are to RGB..

Sorry I can't be of more help. It may be a known issue they are working on a fix
for, sometimes they will not respond if the solution is incoming (which I don't
agree with). I know that this is community forum. People should know that even if they buy a pricey "high end" mobo from ASRock than there will be no updates for that product. Thunderbolt is oneof issues. But also Intel ME firmware? This is a huge security problem. I managed to update Intel ME with default Intel fw and tool with correct version for that mobo, but most people will not have such knowledge. TB firmware is more complicated because it is merged with BIOS. I don't know why but this motherboard have worse support than motherboards from cheap Chinese brands. No current Intel ME firmware, no current Thunderbolt 4 NVM firmware. It is expensive garbage.

I have the same problem on the same motherboard (but with different TB4 enclosure, from Satech). Updated BIOS (it didn't update NVM Firmware), Windows 10, nothing helps.
