Hi, thanks for your reply.

I did what you said and it worked. the cold start is now just as long as the warm start, with EXPO 6000 and aggressive mode.

But when I changed < Base Clock Control Mode > from Auto to < Cpu Clock Overclocking, PCIE=100 > set both values to disabled, the cold start took longer again.


so I assume that this setting was the problem all along and not the ram training at all.

I think "Memory Context Restore" (MCR) is ON by default.
You can check it in the BIOS, something like:
Advanced -> AMD CBS -> UMC Common Options -> DDR Options -> DDR Memory Features -> Memory Context Restore.

If it's ON, yet not working, maybe there is a compatibility issue, as Xaltar mentioned.

If your system is RAM training on every cold boot then it's likely you have a compatibility issue.
The values are in fact saved and typically only clear when you either install different
RAM or clear CMOS and remove the CMOS battery. Clear CMOS alone often isn't enough.

I would try removing power from the system, pull the CMOS battery, clear CMOS
then let it sit for 10 mins or so without power connected. You could have bad

If it is possible to save your bios settings and it is possible to shorten the ram training at warm start by Memory Context Restore and Power Down, why are the values not saved to shorten the ram training at cold start?
