Sorry for not responding, for some reason I must not have seen an email when you responded.

I ended up ordering a new motherboard (MSI B350 TOMAHAWKand) and swapped it out for the old one and now it's working like a charm so I guess a bad motherboard was the problem after all and I was just unlucky.

I appreciate the help troubleshooting and taking time out of your day to help people like me just getting into building computers!

One thing bothers me here - did you follow the manual to the letter when clearing CMOS? Somehow I doubt that, because you mention your PC 'failed to display anything on my monitor'. Even the manual says the CMOS clearing is done with the PSU power cord unplugged, i.e. your PC must not be connected to the wall socket! Or maybe you meant that you got no video during the troubleshooting processes whatsoever ?

How I recommend people clearing CMOS - unplug the power cord, remove the battery, press the power button for 10 seconds, put battery back, plus the power back in. This should be done each time a HW change is made in the configuration.

No or bad sound could be attributed to UEFI settings, bad drivers, or mismatched front panel cabling. Also the BSOD that came after that.

Not POST-ing however is whole new level. If the mobo if beeping when there is a deliberately caused 'malfunction' is a sign the mobo could very well be OK. Did you REALLY took out the HDD, SSD, CPU out?

At that stage however, I can't really pinpoint the possible reason. PC working fine and then dying can be pretty much everything. Unhappy

Best way to check - try different components and see if the situation changes. If not, mobo, PSU and RAM are good candidates for RMA, although your PSU is really highly regarded.

Any other opinion is welcome.

Only software I got around to using was chrome, steam, and battle.net

I took the motherboard out of the case as suggested and put it on a cardboard box while I did the following steps instructed.

I unplugged everything but the CPU, GPU and one stick of RAM, the internal speaker, and the front panel connections (wasn't sure how else to turn the motherboard on) and replugged each of these from the motherboard in stages periodically retrying to boot (Not sure if this gives a different outcome than doing everything at the same time).

Cleared the CMOS according to the manual found here:

where I took the jumper and moved it to 2/3 for 5 seconds and then returned it to 1/2

Throughout this process my computer failed to display anything on my monitor which was plugged into the GPU the whole time.

I think the lack of responses to your topic is caused by the horrible formatting. It's borderline unreadable!

Do us all a favor and press 'Enter' each time a new paragraph starts. It's extremely hard to try and read lines and lines of text with minimal or no formatting. Many people simply choose not to bother reading such things.

Anyway, I put a lot of effort to read your issue. Here is what I suggest:
- start with detailed list of hardware and software you're using;
- take the mobo out of the case;
- unplug EVERYTHING from your mobo, incl. your CPU;
- plug only the CPU, GPU and only one stick of RAM;
- clear CMOS the right way;
- try to power up now and report back;

Update: I plugged in the speaker that come with my motherboard to check the beep codes and when I power the computer on there's no beeps.

To check if I had the speaker plugged in correctly I removed all of the RAM I get 3 short beeps indicative of Basic memory 64K address check error which I assume is my motherboard telling me there's no RAM installed.

I have no idea where to even look at this point.

Let me preface by saying this was my first time building so I didn't expect everything to work right away.

I assembled the computer and when I tried to boot the first time it didn't post. This was in spite of all of the fans/lights coming on so I made sure to check each and every connection to the motherboard to see if a connection wasn't secure and I found one. This fixed the no post issue on the first boot and I was able to install my OS and use it for about 40 minutes; this is when it starts to get weird.

I was watching a video and I wanted sound so I plugged in my speakers to the motherboard audio port and nothing came out. My case also has an audio jack on the front so I tried to plug them in there and I was able to get sound albeit scratchy and unclear. I tried to twist the jack to see if that was the problem and my computer got a BSOD.

This being my first time building I thought my computer would just kind of fix itself like previous BSOD I've encountered. When the computer wasn't restarting for a couple minutes I manually powered it off and on again to see if that would work.

It was at this point that the computer stopped displaying anything on my monitor again even though all of the cables to the motherboard were untouched. I tried to check each connection again to see if anything fell loose and I even went as far as taking the mobo out and reseating everything except for the cpu and cpu cooler.

The weirdest part happened last night when I tried to show it to my roommate, my computer inexplicably booted into the bios but it said none of my SATA data connections were connected to my HDD, SSD or my optical drive so it wouldn't be able to boot into windows.

I tried to reseat the SATA data connections and restart but now it's not displaying anything anymore and I can't get back into the bios. I have been wracking my brain for the past week trying to get this to work but I haven't been able to find anything on google to fix my problems.
