Author: iDred
Subject: 7378
Posted: 21 Jan 2018 at 4:25am

If I use the windows 10 default driver the audio works properly in 5.1 using the analog audio jacks. It plays audio out of all 6 speakers properly.

If I install the Realtek sound driver for the motherboard the 5.1 doesn't play properly. It plays most channels out of the left speaker and left rear speaker. When I uninstall the driver it works properly.

Can anyone confirm if they can get their 5.1 audio to work properly using the current driver on ASROCK website for this motherboard. Which would be:

Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8176_FF10

Thanks. I have a suspicion that the driver does not work correctly with this motherboard. The windows 10 default does work, the problem is you lose those settings/software if using the Realtek audio driver, for things like speaker distance correction.

Edited by iDred - 21 Jan 2018 at 4:28am
