    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=8432">STJ</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7431<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 Jan 2018 at 5:31am<br /><br />I did a bit of digging since I also upgraded to the version 1.90 and had the same question.&nbsp; It seems, Intel is recommending OEMs to stop distributing the latest MU (microcode update) because there may be some instabilities (see&nbsp;<a href="https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-c&#111;ntent/uploads/sites/11/2018/01/microcode-update-guidance.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2018/01/microcode-update-guidance.pdf</a>) - MU version for 79xx and 78xx&nbsp; CPUs in the 1.90 BIOS is x3a which is on the "stop deployment" list.<div>Another thing I had noticed after the update was that the package voltage (not the core voltage) was upped from 1.9V to 2.1V increasing thermals on the CPU so much that I had to go through the whole process of re-tweaking OC settings for my 7820x to become long term stable again.</div><div>Please take this with a grain of salt as I am not an ASRock employee and this is just a speculation on my part.</div>]]>
