Came over from a MSI M5 Gaming. Love the Taichi, first Asrock board.

Bios P1.30
Memory: Corsair LED 3466 x 4 Dimm 32Gb
CPU: Intel 8700K
Custom water cool

I have overclocked the CPU to 5.0Ghz using an offset of -0.40 and AVX 0

Core multi = 50

Memory = 1.350v

Cpu = 1.328v

Twice now the debug LED has shown 96 degrees! Both times HwInfo64 was also running and also showed the "CPU" temp also at 96 degrees.

No other programs or tests being run, basically system at idle.

Actual core temps showing 33 degrees per core. Volts 1.328 or P state of 0.608v

AUXTIN1 also showing 96 degrees.

I assume that the debug and HwInfo64 get the "CPU" temp from an on package thermistor?

Possible bios or board error??

It has ONLY ever shown 96 when the CPU is overclocked, never at stock...........

Thoughts?

Cheers

P.S. I have seen others having P1.40 bios for the Z370 Taichi, but cannot see it on the Asrock site
