The noise seems to be directly connected to activity. Specifically, when I move the mouse and the pointer moves around on the screen, the chirps increase and when the mouse stops moving, they decrease. Downloading files or pretty much any other CPU processing seems to increase the sounds.</font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've pinpointed the sound using a tube to listen to the VRM area or the left side of the CPU (area circled in pic below).</font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><img src="http://i66.tinypic.com/mlihed.png" height="313" width="318" border="0" /><br></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div><font color="#ffffff" size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've heard of VRM whine, and this seems like that's what it might be.
