    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=10431">puma99dk|</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7565<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 Sep 2018 at 9:10pm<br /><br />The CPU it self has 16 PCI-E lanes wired to the graphics that why if you use the 2x16 slots they will run at 2x8 PCI-E.<div><br></div><div>The Z370 chipset have 24 PCI-E lanes, I have the same board and I use a i7-8086K it does have 16 PCI-E Lanes to directly for Grapchis and I use a Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2. and my GTX 1080 Ti on this board with bios P3.10 runs x16 3.0 without any issues and under no load it runs x16 1.1.</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://puma99dk.000webhostapp.com/i7-8086k.AsRock.Z370TaiChi.960.Evo.jpg" border="0" /></div>]]>

What with 4 being used up via the M2 installed, that leave 12 free. Unfortunately there is no Spec for PCIe x12, so 8 it is .<br>]]>

My guess is by freeing up those 4 M2 lanes your RX480 will be running x16.<br>]]>
