I didn't make myself clear, I'm sorry for the confusion. THE ENERMAX AIO was set to voltage control for the pump.

And the fans are set to PWM.

Yet neither reach their max rpms. Add that issue to the slow reaction and you hit thermal tjmax.

Also what cpu are you running at 4.1Ghz, at such low temps? Nvm, just saw you are running a 1600x.

Theres a 10 core difference. Obviously heat is an even bigger issue on the 1950x @ 4.1ghz than a 1600x. But thanks for pointing out the issue of my settings.

Edited by NorySS - 06 Feb 2018 at 2:26am

I would run prime95, the CPU temps would climb to 70+ degrees,. before the fans/pump RPMs would start to climb. The Pump, and FANs were slow to react. I double checked all my settings, making sure they were monitor Die temp (actual CPU temps, not the offset).

The other Issue I noticed, was that that even though I was commanding 100%, the pumps and fans would not reach it. I made sure they were all set in the BIOS to 100% at 60C. No Dice. But if I set the 'fan mode' to max' they would go to the maximum rpm.

For Instance:

Enermax Pump:

PWM setting @ 100%: 2400RPMs

MAX Setting: 2800RPMs

These two issues combined, would not allow me to stabilize my system during a stress test. It was so bad, that I had to go out and buy a Corsair Commander Pro to alleviate the situation.

Now my system is at 4.1GHz while playing PUBG thanks to the commander Pro.

Edited by NorySS - 05 Feb 2018 at 7:17am
