    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=5501">MisterJ</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7602<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 Feb 2018 at 8:53am<br /><br />nanohead, I guess you are talking about what I call Software RAID.&nbsp; I am sure ASRock can fix this.&nbsp; It is my understanding that AMD has released the code necessary to support NVMe RAID in X370 as X399 has had for a while.&nbsp; I directed one user to open an ASRock ticket to see when ASRock will make it available to users.&nbsp; I suspect when it is released then you will be able to construct an AMD based RAID to suit your purpose with an NVMe boot device.&nbsp; I suggest you also bug ASRock with a ticket to get them moving and perhaps they can help with your current problem.&nbsp; Best of luck and enjoy, John.<br>]]>

Been using it for years.&nbsp; Its the same firmware based CPU assisted RAID thats always been there (actually licensed from Promise if my middle aged memory serves!).&nbsp; I was able to get it work perfectly fine until I installed the NVME drive, that's when it got wierd.</div><div><br></div><div>I tried drivers from both Asrock and AMD direct, they were both the same ultimately.&nbsp; The AMD installer (which is also packaged and distributed from the Asrock website) both say the RAID drivers can't be installed if there's an NVME boot drive.</div><div><br></div><div>This is likely fixable by Asrock, as opposed to a chipset limitation.&nbsp; Especially the Ultra M.2 slot as its directly connected to the CPU's PCIE lanes, as opposed to the other slot that's served by the X370.</div><div><br></div><div>The embedded RAID manager actually can see one of the M.2 slots, which is more peculiar.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm 90% sure it can be fixed by Asrock.&nbsp; Although there's a 10% chance its a Microsoft/AMD problem.</div>]]>
