Just to let people know, ran MemTest86 with 4 passes of full test with multithreading without a single error. Also ran IntelBurnTest with multiple stress levels and no issues.

AIDA64 is a pretty thorough test and produces an extensive report. It's not free but you can evaluate it for 30 days, which causes some of the information in the report to be redacted.

I would avoid BIOS 4.40 as it is broken in many places. The beta 4.43 is much better, but as you're not using a Raven Ridge APU you might be better sticking with 3.60 for the time being.

Right, after setting the speed to 2933 MHz as I mentioned earlier, I've now run single CPU and multithreading (1 pass each) successfully without any errors. (Yay!)

I'd like to make sure all is well with the CPU too, what's the best tool to test that? How about an overall hardware test (I'm running Win 10)?

Also, are there any potential issues updating BIOS to 4.40 at this stage? I noticed there was update available.

Oh, and why does MemTest86 report my memory so wrong? 2933 MHz at 15-17-17-35 vs 2133 MHz at 15-15-15-36.

Will prob still run a full 4 passes overnight to make sure it's all kosher. Thank you all for the help, feel more relieved now.

as i can see from your memtest results, u dont have random errors, it seems u get errors at exact same bit (2nd bit from right)
this could be resolved with subtimings (tfaw, twrt, tref...etc)

but before that, try to reduce freqency a bit to see if there will be any change.
if there wont be any changes, then signal between cpu n ram is unstable which could be resolved with voltages/resistances

Yes, I believe so. By choosing 2933 MHz you're "overclocking" the Ryzen's memory controller and a lot of other stuff too, including the Infinity Fabric. The only reason I can think of why you would want to revert to "stock" though is to set a baseline for some benchmarking you plan to do. Thanks for the replies guys. I've set the RAM to 2933 which is apparently the supported speed for these sticks on this MOBO. The BIOS shows the new speed correctly but MemTest86 still shows them as 2134MHz and 15-15-15-36 rather than the 15-17-17-35 I set them to in BIOS.

Just running single thread to see what happens.

I think that there are two memory QVLs because the default maximum speed has been raised from 2667 MHz to 2933 MHz for Raven Ridge. Strictly speaking, anything over 2667 MHz for your 1000-series Ryzen is an overclock, while anything over 2933 MHz for Raven Ridge is an overclock.
