    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=8359">rocker7617</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 7827<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 Feb 2018 at 6:08am<br /><br /><a href="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"></a>All the fan profiles except the "silent" is like sitting right next to a jet engine.&nbsp; So I set my profile to Silent and I can hear a pin drop.&nbsp; However, I am annoyed by the frequent quick temp spikes as indicated by the Core Temp tool.&nbsp; <br><br>The system will be idling at 33'C and immediately within a fraction of a second will go to 50'C with the fans reving up like a jet engine.&nbsp; Then the temp and fan noise/rpm will come down as fast as they went up - entire temp spike lasting just under two seconds.<br><br>I realize this happens as the workload goes up and down but I don't think this is good for the CPU to have a temp spike from 33 to 50 and back down in less than two or three second.&nbsp; Is this happening because of the Silent mode?<br>]]>
