Set SATA Mode to RAID so you can build your RAID1 in RX2 in W10 and CSM to disable. Make sure your NVMe is GPT Style and NVMe RAID is Disabled. Boot your install USB stick and install W10 to the NVMe and open RX2. You should be able to build your RAID1 here. Please ask any questions. Enjoy, John.

PS: What is[code]< ="chrome-extension://hhojmcideegachlhfgfdhailpfhgknjm/web_accessible_resources/index.js">[]/code]

The MS AHCI driver doesn't seem to recognize my drives when I boot in SATA mode; it gives me an error and no drives are listed. Tried creating a SATA RAID array: I get to step 11 substep 3 and can go no further, same as before. Error after loading rccfg (and all previous drivers in step 11) is: "No new device drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK." This is using the ASRock Taichi raid drivers, but also any others I've found.
EDU is the only version I have a license for and the MS Media Creation Tool keeps erroring out on my laptop after download. 64bit, yes. I will see about getting a 1709 is from elsewhere if I can, but AMD says 1703 should support RAID on the x399.
Still stumped.
At Step 11 substep 1 I have two rcbottom entries, but trying either or both has the same result.

TR1920X * ASRock X399 Taichi (2.0 FW) * 240GB WD Green SSD (SATA) * 1TB WD Blue SATA III Hard Drive * 32GB (8GBx4) ADATA XPG Z1 DDR4/3000MHz * 800W HPL-800BR-F14S PSU * MSI Aero GTX 1080 8GB

Edited by Apethae - 13 Mar 2018 at 10:26am
