I was helping my brother-in-law update his machine. He has a 1300x with an Asus B350 board and it picked up that update and it is fine too.

But there is something about the AB350m-pro4. It is having a very bad time with the update kb4074588. I have it uninstalled, otherwise my 1300x would basically be useless.

I have it installed on my system (different from yours but details in sig) and it hasn't caused any problems. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4074588/windows-10-update-kb4074588 is causing my Ryzen build to randomly hang.

I even did a clean install of windows 10. Upon completing the clean install, everything was stable and working well (at least no hangs in 2 hours), until I made sure windows update did it's thing and told it to restart. When it completed the update kb4074588, the system started to get unstable. The system has been unable to stay stable for more than 45 minutes after the update. The system would just randomly hang, get a black screen and become totally non-responsive. Have to press the reset button or power cycle the system, sometime 3 or 4 times in a 30 minute period. What the heck has Microsoft done!?

Asrock ab350m-pro4
Geil 2x4GB DDR4-2400 memory
Samsung Evo 850 250GB SSD
EVGA GTX1060 3GB
OCZ 500W Modular PSU
