Great, smath.  Thanks for reporting.  I should have been more specific.  All steps after 9 are only needed when W10 is being installed on the RAID.  RX2 will supply the drivers you need.  Please let me hear if you have any more questions.  Enjoy, John.

Thanks for the help Mr J. I finally got the RAID up and working.

One quick question, in step #10 above, you say to "select install USB," don't I first have to copy the drivers to a USB drive?

smath, I think I can help you, but I am tied up right this minute.  I will get back and provide a step-by-step. 
It is probably a driver issue.  Please install RAIDXpert2 (RX2), reboot and sign on to RX2 (admin/admin).  Make sure you are running the latest BIOS/UEFI  Enjoy, John.

EDIT:
For SATA array.

1. Boot into BIOS, hit F9 then F10
2. Boot into BIOS, set SATA mode to RAID
3. Set CSM to disable
4. F10
5. boot into BIOS
6. use RAIDXpert2 (RX2) in UEFI to delete all drives you want included in the RAID and any
    arrays not needed
7. Create array, selecting each of your drives, one by one
8. F10
9. Boot into Boot Menu (F11)
10. Select install USB.  You should see UEFI only version.
11. Install the RAID drivers in this order:
   1-rcbottom - all your drives in the RAID will For SATA array.
   2-rcraid - you will see your one RAID
   3-rccfg - you are good to go!
12. Install W10 on the RAID.
13. Enjoy.

If you are creating an NVMe RAID:

1. Boot into BIOS, hit F9 then F10
2. Boot into BIOS, in PBS set NVMe RAID to Enabled
3. Set CSM to disable
4. F10
5. boot into BIOS
6. use RX2 to delete all drives you want included in the RAID and any
    arrays not needed
7. Create array, selecting each of your drives, one by one
8. F10
9. Boot into Boot Menu (F11)
10. Select install USB.  You should see UEFI only version.
11. Install the RAID drivers in this order:
   1-rcbottom - all your drives in the RAID will disappear
   2-rcraid - you will see your one RAID
   3-rccfg - you are good to go!
12. Install W10 on the RAID.
13. Enjoy.
These are both defined to create boot-able drives.  Please ignore that part.  Use the software from the ASRock DL site, both the RAID drivers and RAIDXpert (RX2).  RX2 should install the necessary drivers in W10.  Good luck and enjoy, John.

I have 4 identical 5TB HDDs that I want to set up as RAID 0 for media storage in a video editing box. I have my OS on a separate SSD so I don't need to put the OS on this RAID. I have set up a RAID 0 in the UEFI but the RAID does not show up in the Windows disk management tool. What do I need to do next to make this RAID active?
