We can never tell where the issue is coming from. I spent a month troubleshooting my system for random hangups (not freezing, it would resume after 4 - 5 seconds), I replaced every component and the issue persisted. Reinstalled the OS about a dozen times and nothing. Eventually, by chance, I lost my regular Win 10 install key and had to download and make a new one. Suddenly, my system ran flawlessly..... It turned out that there was an update that was failing to install on the older install version, the new version included it in the installer and problems all went away. I do not like this new OS system from MS at all. I much preferred service packs and new versions.

Almost 0 transparency about what each (forced) update does and no way to tell what is broken half the time. I have not needed to go through the guts of my OS this much since my days building and configuring NT 4 servers......

At least we are slowly moving forward...
