    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=8799">birdman941</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8122<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 Apr 2018 at 6:11am<br /><br />I wound up just not using VROC on the board.<br />Intel is of no help, and ASrock does not seem to monitor here.<br />I just figured with 4 Optane drives in RAID0 it would boot quickly.<br />Even using VROC as storage it slows boot time dramatically.<br />So I got a 960 EVO for OS/boot,<br />and am using Disk manager software raid (Optane) for storage.<br />Boots in 2 seconds, shuts down quickly.<br />I love the Taichi XE board though anyway.]]>

It is a little faster for me when raid is disabled, only because it doesn't take time to display the raid configuration.<br><br>-Robert<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=8799">birdman941</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 8122<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 Mar 2018 at 12:12am<br /><br /><a href="" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"></a>I have a new system build.<br />Specs:<br /><ul><br />X299 Taichi XE<br />I9 7900X (all core 4.7 GHz)<br />64GB DDR4 2666 (1.2V) Ballistix memory (4x16)<br />Asus Hyper M.2 x 16 AIC (Asrock did not have one at the time)<br />4x280GB Intel 900P Optane M.2 to U.2 drives in RAID0<br />Intel VROCISSDMOD raid key<br />EVGA 1080ti SC2 Hybrid graphics<br />Coolermaster AIO 280mm in push/pull<br />Asrock Thunderbolt 3 AIC<br /></ul><br /><br />Still using bios 1.0.<br />System gets thru Bios rather quickly.<br />Fast boot is disabled in UEFI<br /><br />System takes a very long time trying to boot into Windows.<br />Sometimes it simply will not boot, reset button and it will boot.<br />Eventually.<br /><br />MSconfig has everything off.<br />Page file off<br /><br />Benchmark numbers are incredibly good once I get in there.<br />Any ideas what to look for?<br />Thanks<br />]]>
