Update:

I've now tried risers I know work (tried them in another rig). I've also tried Linus and the same issue there. Can't find anything when I use risers but as soon as I put one GPU directly into the 16x port it find it.

Not the exact model. I've tried five different risers, and four different cabels. I use the same risers as a pair of collegues of mine and theirs is working great. What are the odds that so many are broken? 

There is no chance that it's Windows 10 that can't find the GPUs on risers? When I tried the GPU directly on the 16x I also installed the drivers since the computer found the gpu.

No ideas other than you bought bad risers or cabling.
 Have you checked some of the mining forums about the exact model parts you are trying to use ?

I'm having problems getting my H110 to find my GPUs. I've tried several different risers (of the same model) and several different USB cables. 

The computer finds the GPU when it's inserted directly into the 16x port but nothing when I try to connect it via risers. 

All extra power cables are connected to the motherboard (2x PCI and 1x sata power). 

Anyone got any ideas?
