After days of tests the shop said that the board was bad. It will be replaced to Gigabyte H97 D3H. Hope i get lucky this time

Wii respond using your questions:

should be using the two black slots for the memory when using one DIMM per channel. YES USING BLACK OR RED SLOTS SAME PROBLEM

Did you use that memory in your other board that seems to have died? YES 

Did you try each DIMM one at a time to be sure that both work? YES ANY RAM IN ANY OF THE 4 SLOTS WORKS FINE

You must clear the CMOS/BIOS after changing the slots the memory is used in, with no power to the board when that is done, of course. YES DID THAT BEFORE TESTING. ALSO MEMTEST86 OK FOR HOURS.

The red UEFI/BIOS LED is on because the board did not POST with the memory for some reason.

You should be using the two black slots for the memory when using one DIMM per channel.

Did you use that memory in your other board that seems to have died?

Did you try each DIMM one at a time to be sure that both work?

You must clear the CMOS/BIOS after changing the slots the memory is used in, with no power to the board when that is done, of course.

Have you tried clearing CMOS with the RAM modules installed in dual channel configuration?

Even if you have you can try doing a complete clear as described here.

More often than not these kinds of problem are UEFI related, this is why I recommend clearing CMOS every time you change RAM configuration or make any major hardware changes. Also check to be sure your RAM is seated properly in the slots, sometimes it will "clip" into place but not actually be properly in the slot all the way. Also check for any debris in the slots themselves.

Hi All

Just registered to ask for help. If i put my RAM in dual channel in any slots it won´t boot and a red light bios stays on. Only boot if i put in single channel. This RAM shows as compatible in the mobo page but 16x and i have 2 sticks of 4gb  ( KHX24C11T3K2/16X )

Already set RAM speed in bios lower (1333) before changing the slots and nothing.

Here is my setup:

4790k
H97 Killer (Last z97 mobo died)
Kingston DDR3 2400 Beast 2x4
Seasonic 620w
BIOS: P2.40 (Latest)

In this review the test was with the same RAM and it runs in dual channel?? http://www.pcgameware.co.uk/reviews/motherboards/asrock-fatal1ty-h97-killer-motherboard-review/

One thing i noticed that he was running an old Beta BIOS (0.29B) maybe i have to downgrade BIOS? My CPU (4790K) will boot?
