In conclusion, the only diferent thing from that air cooler and the AIO was the mounting pressure applied with the screws. Happy days. I trully hope this helps someone like it did for me. I ran into this C5 error too, but it was a different problem, in my case.
I was using a rare breed of 2x32GB DDR5 ECC RAM from Nemix RAM.
Trying to boot with 1 DIMM, resulted in error C5.
Trying to boot with 2 DIMMs in slots A2+B2 or A1+B1, resulted in error C5.
The weird thing is that by putting the 2 DIMMs in B1+B2 solved the issue, and I was able to boot normally in Single-Channel mode.
In the end I've RMA'd the RAM kit & bought a non-ECC RAM kit from Kingston, that works like a charm.

NOTE: The Nemix RAM memory kit wasn't on the QVL of my motherboard!
