Author: nekoth
Subject: 85040
Posted: 07 Dec 2024 at 6:53pm

I've been struggling with my Z790 Riptide PG, which has 12700K on stock noOC settings and 4x16Gb Kingston Fury (2 sets of KF552C40BWAK2-32).
It works perfectly on default (no XMP), works okay (haven't tested it a ton - but seems stable for now) on XMP2, but is unstable on XMP1?”crashes often, sometimes gets stuck on POST, etc.
I'm on the latest 17.01 BIOS.
I've googled a bit, and it looks like a common issue with 4 memory sticks on this motherboard. Is there a chance for a fix through an MB firmware update?
