I was setting up a 5.1 system I just got and removing a 2.1 system I had only to notice that my motherboard is supposed to support 7.1 according to the website and manual. There's no explanation how to set it up and it's not as simple as plugging into the ports on the back as there's only 3 line out (front, center/sub , & rear) while the 4th one that's supposed to be side speakers is only line in. That leave's me wondering how I'm supposed to setup 7.1 if I ever wanted to use 7.1. If I'm not mistaken optical can't carry 7.1 so that leaves me wondering how it's supposed to carry 7.1. I know HDMI can, but as far as I can tell there's no way to use HDMI as an audio out besides using my 3060 ti.
