B850 boards, B850M-X has 2 DIMM slots and isn't mini-ITX.  It's micro-ATX.  No full-size ATX boards with just 2 DIMM slots.  The ITX one of course has 2 DIMM slots, but that's sort of a given.<br />]]>

I understand OP wants a high-end board whereas HDV is a low-end board, but the basic idea is the same.  Extra bonus with HDV is that it's cheap :)<br />]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=43755">ChronicTonic</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 85297<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16 Dec 2024 at 3:26am<br /><br />Yes, "officially".. but in reality, probably 80% or better of zen 4 and 5 series will do 6000-6400mhz 1:1 -so memclk/uclk 3000-3200.<br /><br />But then running 2:1 has been showing benefit at 7800+ and I've yet to hear of a single person with a good 2 dimm motherboard who was not able to run a zen 4 or 5 stable at 8000+.<br /><br />Anyways, either Zen6 or Zen5+ is said to be coming in 2025... the main change should be with the memory controller.. a strong focus on reducing memory latency.<br /><br />So, not really sure what point you were trying to make.. but personally I want a Taichi OCF so I can be future-proof for at least one more upcoming CPU.. potentially running 9000+mhz ram by the end of it's life.]]>

So that leaves only the x670e Gene, which they stopped making :(<br /><br />idk friend, maybe there's a board you are referring to that I don't know about..?<br /><br />I just want a decent-priced (even up to $500-600), overclock-friendly 2 dimm board, full size ATX, with decent VRM.. but I sure can't find one!</td></tr></table> <br /><br />Hello again! <br /><br />I was talking about the Gigabyte B650E & X670E Tachyon motherboards. <br /><br />Regarding high speed RAM support, it's pretty tricky, because, usually, it's not the motherboard that limits the system, but the silicone of the CPU. <br /><br />For example, my ASRock X670E Taichi supports officially RAM speeds up to 7800+ MT/s. <br />However, my Ryzen 9 9950X can't handle well 6000MT/s! <br />I have an EXPO memory kit from Kingston Fury with DDR5-6400 CL32 & DDR5-6000 CL30 profiles. <br />But if I enable any of the 2 profiles and do a full test with MemTest86, I'm getting errors! <br />So, I've created a custom profile with the DRAM lowered at 5800MT/s. <br />That makes the system rock stable. ]]>
