You say you've tried another PSU and motherboard so unless it is an unlikely coincidence that you had 2 faulty motherboards in a row, then it MUST be the power connectors incorrectly installed. Check where the clips are on each connector and make sure they match the cables because, as I said, one of the 4 pins is different to the rest (and most other motherboards too).

Edited by JayB33 - 12 May 2018 at 1:07am

I am havingtrouble with an Asrock Fatal1ty x399 not powering on. I know this has been discussedon this forum before; I have been unable to find many posts with an actualsolution.

Specs:

AMD threadripper 1950x

Asrock Fatal1ty x399 BIOS ver. 1.05

Corsair rm1000 PSU

Gskill ripjaw v 3200 64gb

Enermax liquatech 360

Asus armor OC 1080

Samsung 960 pro m.2 ssd

I am having similar issues to other members, where when thepower supply is turned on the LED lighting under the heat spreader behind thepcie slots illuminates; when the power button is pressed nothing happens. TheDr. Debug does not display any error codes, nor do the case fans or psu powerup. I have removed the motherboard from the case and having it sitting on thebox it shipped with. I am using only one stick of the ram; I have tested itwith and without the graphics card. I have insured the 8 pin and 4 CPU power connectorsare connected properly on the PSU side as well as the motherboard side, I haveused a volt meter to check the pins on the 24 pin as well as both CPU powercables, they both check out fine. I have attempted to use another power supplywith the same results. I have shorted the 24 pin power while it is plugged intothe motherboard to start the power supply, when this is done all of the peripheralsthat are plugged into the motherboard start as normal; however the board neverPOSTs, nor does the Dr. debug display any error codes.

I should also note that this is the second motherboard that hasdone this. I originally bought the same motherboard and it exhibited the samesymptoms, I contacted Asrock support for assistants. After some time troubleshooting with them, they determined it was a motherboard issue and replacedthat motherboard with this one. Since the new one is also exhibiting the samesymptoms I do not believe that this is an issue with the motherboard.

Any help would be much appreciated.
