Actually flashback is a low level feature comparable to EEPROM programming, that doesn't depend on RAM or CPU lol...
Plus not necessary to reset to defaults - like I've said - low-level, overwrites all.
That is why if you do flashback you don't need a bridge bios :)


and the way i read his post

he ONLY done flashback after a normal bios update via bios

so to him and all other users i posted the advice for flashing bios

and also seeing as your having ram issues just flash it with one stick inserted

this reduces the chances of corruption by 7x

KarlMarx ---first try the flashback with the BIOS E1.91
Believe me that this BIOS even in Beta is stable enough for my rigs 24x7 operation.
This BIOS introduces newest AGESA and newest improvements into the mem-compatibility.
With careful tuning (use Ryzen DRAM calculator -- this is a must) 2400 can be reachable.

P.S. Please also note that 2400 is already above the specification so you should not wonder if it won't.

P.S.2 This is not only an issue with ASRock but general problem with TR and 8 sticks -- no matter if ASUS ASRock or others.

Ok now I tried to boot first with one stick then 2 etc etc. Until 7 sticks the PC boot properly, if i Put the 8th the pc won't boot also I tried to activate XMP profile but pc Won't  boot.

ASRock RMA I need you.

P.S Is riddicoulous that a Mobo with this price has this problems.

I tried to update the bios at 2.0 but now The PC won't boot I followed the flashback guide. But I have a continuous loop. DeadDead  I think this motherboard is Falled what Can I do?

You need to understand that you \r BIOS/UEFI is... ancient.... and the memory compatibility was increased at least twice in different updates including the latest (big) one -- I fully agree with lowdog.
Get on the 1.91E bandwagon like... now :)

Don't be scared about updating the bios, download the latest beta bios for Taichi X399 which is 1.91E and use the Instant Flash option in bios, just follow the instructions and use a USB stick formatted to Fat32.


Get the Ryzen dram calculator and use it to work out the values to set your ram at if XMP fails.

Hi Everyone!
I have an issue with my ram memory with My x399 Taichi. The RAM memories (Corsair Vengeance LPX  64 GB 8X8 2400mhz) are stuck to 2133mhz, so I tried to activate XMP profile at 2400mhz but when I select it the pc won't boot and I need to clear cmos. I have 1.30 Bios Version and I am really scared about upgrade it Cry
any Idea?
