    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=44472">Engy</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 87845<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Dec 2024 at 1:06am<br /><br />I want to replace my Samsung 980 Pro with the new 990 evo plus 2Tb.<br />There is a pin missmatch so ASRock told me to use a NVMe M2 to PCIe adapter.<br /><br />The Problem:<br />When I install the SSD with the adapter the GPU spins to life but does not output any signal.<br /><br />In the manual for my mobo it says that when using a Ryzen CPU the pcie2 port runs at x16 and pcie4 runs at x4.<br /><br />The M2_1 slot is not in use; The GPU is connected to pcie2; The SSD to pcie4;<br />So it should work in theory.<br /><br />Maybe I have to change some settings in the BIOS?<br />However, I don't know what settings.<br /><br />System:<br /><br />Mobo: AB350 Pro4<br />Version: 5.8<br /><br />CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600<br />GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti<br />RAM: DDR4 3200 32GB in dual channel mode<br />SSD: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB<br />Adapter: SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 CARD<br /><br />Thank you for the help.]]>
