Author: fbenedek01
Subject: 89520
Posted: 09 Jan 2025 at 12:53am

Hi! I have a problem i hope i can get help, or answer for it. :)

Motherboard: Asrock B450 Pro4(not R2.0)
CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
GPU: RX 5700XT ROG OC
RAM: Some Kingston Fury(20GB)
BIOS Version: 5.60
NVME Adapter: Gembird M.2 NVME PCIe x4 PEX-M2-01, the box says it can be use for bootable system ssd.

So i bought 3 days ago a WD Blue SN580 1TB NVME ssd for my setup, I tried to put in the M2_2 nvme slot for games as secondary, or for windows, but then i found something in the manual which says that if my SATA3_3/4 slot is used then the M2_2 Is not working, and an another which says the M2_2 is only for boot or what, and a third which says: If M2_1 slot is occupied then the M2_2 is disabled.

Before the next part, At the moment I have a Kingston A2000 250GB M.2 PCIe (SA2000M8/250G) which is not listen in the "compatible" NVME list for my Motherboard, BUT The kingston is works perfectly and i have windows on it, at the moment the Kingston is in the M2_1 Slot, but works too in M2_2 Idk how but its boot up and everything works fine.

My firs idea before these was "I want to use the WD Blue for Windows + Some smaller games which need to be on an ssd. And the kingston is go down to M2_2 slot and used for games too."

Then was my biggest problem, The BIOS can't see the ssd in any slot, I tried in M2_1 , M2_2 aand, I bought a gembird NVME Adapter to see if this works, it didn't work with an adapter either. The BIOS was updated and tried too in the updated version, but everyting is the same as before.

Now I Don't know what to do so please help me, or I bought an ssd for nothing :/

Thanks for answer! :)
sry for my bad english :D
