I just requested RMA after going through every action I could find on google for corrupted BIOS. Also ordered a new BIOS chip of ebay for $15. I'll give this a try before sending the RMA.

Just trying to piggyback off your post to see if anyone who knows more has some further suggestions.

Right now I have the BIOS on a thumb drive trying each usb port. Nothing but the CPU, CPU block and 1 stick of RAM on the mobo, which I have tried in each slot. The USB seems to flash that it is being read, but aside from that, no change.

I was looking at approved list of ram and aegis wasn?™t on there. Makes sense that might be the issue, weird because the stupid pc conpability site says it?™s good to go. Went through the list of approved which doesn?™t seem big and I found a shop local has gskill ripjaw v which is compatible so we?™ll see tomorrow when I pick it up.

Say a pray for me guys.

System will not post and or make any confirmation beep. Everything powers up fine and motherboard chipset pulses red. If I remove ram it will do the 3 beep code. I?™ve tried with graphic card and without, not able to confirm if monitor works with onboard because I have no hdmi but I get no post beep. Considering picking up a hdmi cable to hook up the onboard graphic but if it?™s not post beeping I figure that won?™t make a difference. I?™ve removed all drives/usb cords to make it as bear bones as possible. Tried to start on top of cardboard to rule out case short. Reset cmos and removed battery multiple times. 8 pin cpu connector seated good, motherboard power cord seated good. Using the a2 memory slot with one 8gb aegis gskill.

Only major thing I did wrong building this computer was going a little crazy with the thermal paste. I had to move the cpu cooler to a different configuration after first try starting and wiped up all the excess but dunno if that would cause issues. Nothing spilled onto mb or cpu slot.

My complete setup:
Asrock z370 killer sli/ac lga1151
Intel coffee 8400 i5 2.8g lga1151
Aegis gskill 8g
Zotac nvidia GeForce Gtx 1050 ti
Thermaltake smart 600w
Thermaltake frio silent 12 cpu cooler

Kinda lost where to go from here. Thinking maybe trying different ram or jus rma?™ing the board/chip and try again. Hesitant to do the latter though because it seems like board might be ok due to the 3 beep code when ram is removed. Very frustrating haha. Thanks for any help guys.
