I have been running my Z170 Extreme4+ with Bios 7.00 for almost two years without problems. 

Ram Type 4x Kingston HyperX Fury 8GByte HX426C15BK2/16

Because of Spectre vulnerability I have just flashed the new 7.40 Bios. Now my PC will not boot anymore. I get error code C1 right away. Clearing CMOS does not help. So I have switched BIOS from A to B. Now I have Bios 2.70 which is the initial BIOS the mainboard was delivered with. 2.70 boots fine.

I would like to get back to Bios 7.00. How to do it?
