I bought a ab350m pro4 and my hdd and ssd(windows os) is not being detected. I've seen alot of issue like this in the forums and no one seems to find a real way of fixing this issue.

Any inputs will be appreciated. I am really struggling with this board.

Thanks in advance.

    Author: mart7mcfl7
Subject: 9256
Posted: 28 Jul 2018 at 3:37am

Built a new rig this week, and this board has given me nothing but problems until today. For some reason the board is forgetting/resetting ram behaviour between changes and reboots. It's like the memory timings are being carried over though XMP/CBS profiles and it's messing EVERYTHING up.

Also the bios/board is just flaky, when changing settings via Ryzen master the memory timings are displayed far lower than what they actually are. For example I set my memory @ 16-16-16-38-43 1T yet the software is displaying 8-8-8-21-29 1T? (I wish) I've only noticed this with 4.90, everything seems fine with 3.60 - strange?

The only way I could get my settings stable is by using Asrock overclock mode, using XMP to setup memory timings on the first page (simple timings) then change the values. Then reboot, activate Amd cbs and setup a p-state and memory speeds from there. What a messed up way of doing things, it's almost like the board is itching to setup the ram itself and is falling flat on it's face. It's not like I'm using funky ram either (Hynix- MFR) - even at stock, how hard is it for a board to read and apply Jedec values!?! I mean that's THE standard. Apart from hardware failure, the chips are guaranteed to run at that spec?

Anyway, I think 99% of peoples problems with this board is the crappy bios, it's just touch and go if the board will mess itself up, finally I've got the board stable on AIDA64 stress testing though I'm still considering swapping the board out for another brand.

Settings after a day of tweeking

Ryzen 1400 @ 3.9ghz 1.4v 66c full load

Noctua NH-U9F

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2133 @ 2.7ghz 1.3v 16-16-16-38-43 1T (H5AN4G8NMFR-TFC)

Quite respectable really, though a pain to get there considering the bios behaviour. I'm sure that I can tweek more out of it, especially the ram. CPU might be harder as I'm getting a bit of droop on the voltage and I've no idea where LLC or SOC is (if this board has those settings)
