As you can probably guess, I ran into some issues.

After I installed the M.2 SSD into its slot, it appeared in my list of bootable drives in UEFI, HOWEVER, my SanDisk disappeared form that list.

I freaked out and eventually read on these forums that the PCIe M.2 slot shares the SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 bandwidth. I got stoked thinking I just solved all my problems. I opened up my case again and switched my old SanDisk SSD to SATA3_3.

That did nothing. The SanDisk was still not listed as a bootable drive. The system browser in the UEFI saw it, but it wasn't listed as bootable. My regular media HDD was listed as bootable just fine, though.

As soon as I removed the M.2 SSD, I was able to boot from the old SanDisk SSD in SATA3_3.

It seems like installing the M.2 SSD somehow overrides my existing SSD? I hope all of this makes sense. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Sincerely,

Pants
