Went from a R7 2700x to the R7 5700X3D.

Boots and works fine, if I only use one RAM-Stick (Slot next to the CPU). Bootloops when both sticks are installed.

Until now, I didn't figure out a solution. Already tried dozens of things. Maybe, this CPU isn't able to work well on that Board. Even, if it's listed as supported. :(

But I'm getting help from some very "hardware-educated"-guys. So maybe... :)

If I find any solution, I'll let you know.

So you went from 3400G to 5700X3D....

You do have a GPU, right?

5700X3D (or any AM4 CPU without a G in its name) doesn't have integrated GPU, so you can't use any of the display output ports on the motherboard. You have to have a discrete GPU.
Try the
5.20 version it should work, even with this it should boot. According to the CPU compatibility page it has been validated to work with 10.06 Good Luck

    Author: adktk
Subject: 94326
Posted: 02 Feb 2025 at 10:27pm

I have a Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard with 16GB of memory and an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G cpu. (the system was working fine for almost 5 years)

One week ago, I bought a Ryzen 7 5700x3D processor.
After installing it, the pc would not boot. Black screen without posting. I press F2, but not able to get into the BIOS, the only way I can do is to long press the switch and shutdown the computer.
Before I install the new Ryzen 7 5700x3D processor onto the Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard, I did flash the BIOS to version 10.31 (Beta). After the first try with black screen, I did flash the BIOS to version 8.01 (Beta), but it is no luck to boot up with the combination of Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac and AMD Ryzen 7 5700x3D processor.

I type this report to you by using my old CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 3400G). So I am sure the motherboard is OK with the old combination, it just can't work with Ryzen 7 5700x3D processor.

I have reset the CMOS as well, and no luck.

Can anyone help?
