Hi,

Config: Z87 Extreme4 with i5-4670K running Windows 8.1 x64.

When I built my machine last year, I used all six Intel SATA ports and didn't use either Asmedia SATA port. But recently I tried to attach something to them and they didn't work. Is there something that I need to do to make them active?

I have used the external eSATA port and that works. I checked the Device Manager and there is a driver loaded for "Asmedia 106x SATA Controller". The driver is labeled "Asmedia Technology" and is version 1.4.1.0, dated 12/26/2012.

Is there another driver that I need to load or a BIOS setting that i need to activate?
