Afetr a few times rebooting into Win 8.1 x64 it seemed to be fine.

Toady I installed and ran the APP store which said there was a BIOS update from 1.4 to 1.9. Selected it and it downloaded it, pc rebooted but then just stayed on the ASRock splash screen, wouldn't respond to any keys. After 30 min I restarted the computer a few times with the same result. Finally powered off, cleared CMOS via jumper and was able to boot into the BIOS. Which is still 1.40.

Does the ASRock APP store method not work and if not how do I update the BIOS?

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4
i7-6700k w/Noctua NH-D15 cooler
16Gb DDR4-2133 GSKill F4-2400C15D-16GVR
Zotac GTX980Ti
Samsung 840 500Gb boot drive
WD Black 1Tb & Hitachi 3Tb drives
Asus blu-ray burner
EVGA 750G2 750w Gold PSU
Sam
