So this is not a new build, that changes things drastically. Your original post sounded like this was a new build you couldn't get to post, in which case there are typically only a few things that could be causing the issue.

When a working system stops working however the troubleshooting gets a lot more complicated. Now we are dealing with potentially dead components, dust buildup, insects and just about any other thing you can think of that could happen to a PC. I have even worked on PCs that died because a cat peed on them. We now also know that the system does not even power on at all, something that would have been helpful to know from the start.

So, before we continue, is there anything that happened to the system prior to this issue occurring? A BSOD, BIOS update, power outage, physical impact to the system (dropped), smoke coming out of the system etc. Every piece of info you give us will help narrow down the troubleshooting steps required. At the moment, all I know is that the system was working and now no longer powers on, even with a new PSU and power button. At this point it could be any number of things.

I'm reluctant to do that since nothing has changed on the motherboard in over a year.  Nothing has been physically jostled since I changed the power supply. It's like the power switch doesn't work.  I hooked up a different power switch and it still won't start.

I will give that stuff a try eventually, but I need to make sure I have a working machine before I start fixing this one.

That is not good, typically that only happens when there is either a short somewhere or the Clear CMOS jumper is in the wrong position. It could also be bent pins on the CPU.

I would pull the board out of the case and check your standoff positions to make sure none are in the wrong place. Check the CPU for bent pins etc while you are at it and then hook it all up outside the case with one stick of RAM in the A2 slot, the GPU and PSU connected, nothing else. 

Let us know what happens.

Nothing happens when i hit the powe switch. Fans do not spin up at all. RGB light on ram works, but nothing else.

Welcome to the forums.

What exactly is happening when you power on the system?:

1. Fans spin up and remain on at a constant speed but POST does not occur
2. Fans spin up for a short period then the system powers off and on again endlessly (power cycling)
3. Fans spin up then slow down then remain slow but POST does not occur

I thought it was a power supply issue.  Corsair SF600.

I bought a new power supply Silverstone SFX-L 800 and it still doesn't start.  The RGB memory lights up with both the old and new powersupply.

I cleared the CMOS jumper.  

I'm running out of ideas.
Please help.
