I use super quiet Noctua fans and I use Tctl. This way I don't mind the RPM changes, although your case looks like a nasty bug.

As a workaround you can set constant RPM to this fan, especially if you're not overclocking or if you're not in a hot room/climate.

I have experienced similar difficulties regarding the temperature-dependent control of the CPU fan speed, as other users have reported.

However, after playing around with the settings I have noticed something odd.

I can control my chassis fans with the A-Tuning software and the "MB Temp." setting successfully.

But as soon as I change the CPU FAN 1 to be controlled by "CPU Temp." instead of Tctl (which is quite bouncy), the CPU FAN 1 doesn't seem to react to the temperature any more.

It always runs on the same speed.

Therefore I installed HWinfo and found this out:

If the CPU FANs are set to Tctl, the mainboard provides a correct CPU temperature:

If you now set the control parameter to "CPU Temp." the mainboard now provides a wrong temperature: -73°C.

This explains why the CPU FAN 1 doesn't react to the CPU temperature any more, as is assumes it is way below the curve settings.

This seems to be a software bug, I hope that this post will get some attention from the developers.
