Yes, you need the CPU power from the ATX12V.

Hi I bought an Asrock B450M-HDV motherboard and I'm having issues with the startup.
I have the following components:
- ASRock B450M-HDV Socket AM4
- Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5Ghz Socket AM4 Box
- 8G Adata DDR 4 2400 MHZ
- Deepcool DN500 500W Power Supply.

I've connected the 24 Pin Power supply to the Motherboard, installed the CPU and the Memory.
When it starts I have no video output, no sound (I've installed the small sound adapter to the motherboard), no power to my keyboard.

I'm not sure how I can diagnose this. I did not put the ATX12V power cable, should I?
