In other words, if the RAM is supported by your board it will work fine but it will be limited to 2666 which is the default maximum frequency supported by the CPU IMC without overclocking. If the RAM is older, it may even be limited to 2133 which was the original DDR4 spec.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Technically XMP is a form of RAM overclocking, allowing RAM to work at frequencies greater than the IMC (internal memory controller) is rated for. Intel does not allow overclocking on it's H and B chipsets.</div>]]>
