ASRock has announced that the DeskSlim X600 and DeskSlim B760 compact desktop
platforms support NVIDIA RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell SFF Edition and NVIDIA RTX PRO
2000 Blackwell professional graphics cards.



Designed for professional users who require desktop-class expandability in a
space-saving form factor, the DeskSlim series features a PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion
slot that supports a low-profile, dual-slot graphics card up to 200 mm in
length. In a compact 5L chassis, the systems can be configured for AI-assisted
workflows, content creation, 3D visualization, engineering applications, and
data analysis.

The DeskSlim X600 supports AMD Socket AM5 processors, including AMD Ryzen 9000,

Back to October 2017, to complement Intel XE Extreme Edition processors on the
X299 platform, ASRock launched the X299 Taichi XE, built to handle these flagship
CPUs.



With increased power consumption and thermal demands, the X299 Taichi XE
replaced the plastic rear I/O cover with an aluminum heatsink and heat pipe to
enhance VRM cooling.

From the packaging to the default RGB lighting, the signature white was also

Honestly, I think we need more specific terms for AI applications. Far too many
people seem to fear "AI" because they don't understand what it is. An AI algorithm
that fixes lighting on an image isn't going to spy on you (provided it isn't malware etc).
Everything is being called AI these days, even things that have existed since the
90's. It's just the latest buzzword.

Educational implementations will be massively beneficial once the kinks are
worked out. My daughter is already using AI for Math studies, simple AI tools
that help make sense of more complex equations without the need for a tutor.

I think this makes sense, especially for organizations that have moved past testing AI models and are now dealing with the practical side of getting them into existing systems. The focus on private deployments and education is interesting too, since many schools and universities are still figuring out where AI fits without sending everything to the cloud.

The education use case could be useful beyond AI courses as well. Students already rely on simple tools online for things like a monthly attendance percentage calculator, so there is clearly demand for practical software that solves specific problems. The real test for AI deployment will be whether these systems become equally straightforward for normal users.

The infrastructure is important, but the software and deployment side is where many projects seem to get stuck.
