Just checking to see if the size limit on the NVME slots on this motherboard are 8TB. I'm trying to keep the old girl limping along for a couple more years.
Not yet using BIOS 4.x with the logofix if that matters. Thanks |

Hmm, interesting question. I would fire off a ticket to ASRock Tech Support:
https://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp They should be able to give you a definitive answer as well as recommend a BIOS version for optimal compatibility. My 2950x is also still doing all I need it to for now |

I'll do that. I'm amazed mine has lasted so long (1950x OC 4.1GHZ). The wife's cat will sit there for hours watching the tiny bubbles going through the water lines (external 480mm rad and pump). I'm dreading the day a bubble big enough for it to swat at goes into the tubing LOL.

Agree, pretty decent experience since launch Windows11 and looking forward to at least 5 more years of satisfaction, for now I don't need more
I can't help you about support up to 8tb NVMe, my maximum is 2tb. If you don't receive good news from ASRock support about your 1950X you can get an used 2950X on eBay ... in case you want to enjoy a few more years of this goob board Good luck |

ASRock didn't know. I bought two different 8TB from Amazon and both worked fine (sent both back though, I'm a scummy Prime User). I'd rather have 2x4TB just in case something dies.
Still would like to know why they list the M.2 slots twice in the x399 manual. The one listed separately is not even the one with U.2 |
