The ASRock 990FX Professional Bulldozer PC

I wanted to showcase my 4 years old PC, based on the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional motherboard.

The first chip I got on this board was an AMD Phenom II X2 555BE, unlocked to B55 and Overclocked to 4GHz with 1.2V!
I tested the same chip on ECS, MSI i Gigabyte 990FX board, none of them could get
4GHz with 1.2V and unlocked core - so I can say this power-delivery system of the
990FX PRO is one of the best ever for AM3+ processors.

Right now, Im riding with my old Bulldozer, the FX-8120, overclocked to 4GHz, Turbo OFF, on 1.25V.
It runs cool and smooth. So stable for 4+ years, and I only wish to have a new
CPU chip to test the MBO even more with the Vishera chip.

The EFI on my board is a custom L1.91 (last one that runs fine with Bulldozer chip, any new just
bootloop, as You need a Vishera chip to run the latest EFI's), with updated AMD AHCI ROM to
3.2.1.0 and a custom boot logo " Fatal1ty" emblem (I love it more than the Johnatans face).

So, to sum things up - this is what You get in setup:

ASRock 990FX Professional with L1.91 custom EFI
AMD FX-8120 @ 4GHz 1.25V
Thermalright HR-02 + 140mm Arctic F14 fan
Patriot Viper Division 2 - 2x 4GB 2133MHz DDR3
MSI R7970 3GB Thiw Frozr III @ Stock
ASUS Xonar D2X with UniXonar drivers
LiteON iHAS124B with firmware MOD to iHAS324B
Samsung EVO850 250GB
WD Green 2TB + 2TB + 3TB for storage, and Seagate 500GB for OS testing and developing
Corsair VX 550W with a YateLoon 2-pin PWM fan (the ADDA that came with it died after 2 years)
LanCool K62-Dragonlord case with 3x 140mm Arctic F14 fans + 120mm Zalman fan

I hope this thread is not overall to long, and that You will like what You see on the pictures bellow!

Leave a comment down bellow what You think about my rig, and what should I upgrade next.
Maybe it's time for a new AMD chip, or a new ASRock board, like the 990FX Extreme9?

As for what I wish for is the ASRock Game Blaster - but I can not buy it anywhere in my region.

Thanks! Smile

Yeah, I take my time to tidy-up my cables, and clean my system as often I can,
so 1-2 times a month, to keep everything at good health and cool temperatures.

Yes, it's my stone-age old MX518, still working like a champ.
I use it for gaming, but for work I use my Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000.

My keyboard is Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000, and I use it for gaming and work.

I wish I could trow out the ASUS Xonar D2X, because I don't like the ASUS support,
the drivers are horrible and without the UniXonar drivers from community, It is
essentially useless for every OS after Windows 7.
